Rolling out smart farming in 5 steps

The most common mistake is buying for the whole farm on day one. NG pilots small, measures, then scales.

Steps

   Survey and set goals

   Pick 2–3 metrics to improve (water, labour, grade-A share) and record today's baseline.

   Pilot on 10–20% of the area

   Fully equip one block and keep a control block farmed as usual for a fair comparison.

   Evaluate after one crop

   Compare against the control using the evaluation sheet. Scale only when agreed thresholds are met.

   Scale and train

   Expand block by block, train operators on site and name one person responsible for data.

   Operate and optimise

   NG engineers review data monthly, tune thresholds and update AI models from real seasons.
